What a hidden gem off of Ventura Road, a couple miles from 101 freeway. Stopped by here for breakfast burritos. Epic epic burrito. Nopales was an optional ingredient that I selected. The salsas are freshly made with just the right amount of spice. The burrito was wrapped expertly and survived the two hour car journey. Will definitely be back.
Been eating the Nacho Express since I was in middle school. I am now 28 years old and living in the inland empire and have yet to find nachos that taste as fresh and delicious as these. The meat is sliced carne asada instead of a greasy lop of ground beef like esque as other Mexican restaurants in the San Bernardino area, and the tortilla chips taste freshly made, instead of store bought and stale like other places. Came back to Oxnard and HAD to order these again. You'll only find nachos like these in Oxnard at Burrito Express. Also, my wife loves the shrimp burritos. Good price for size.
Pretty good burrito shop in Oxnard (the land of many burrito shops). * Bean and Cheese (and rice) burrito with carne asada - my son got this and loved it. I know he loved it because he ate half the burrito super fast. * Carne Asada burrito with no onions and with sour cream - this was for me and it was pretty good. Everything that went into the burrito worked good, only thing maybe the burrito was a lil small in my opinion. Besides the food, i would say the service is okay. It took awhile to place my order since the lady taking orders was also making the food from other orders. I think she was making the food from start to finish before taking the next order. I like that it comes out fresh and ready but it did stall the line a little. The cashier lady was much better. Gave me loads of chips and explained the salsas to me in detail. Overall I will place this place in my burrito rotation in Oxnard as they make some good burritos!
